The idea for One Park Vista came from a trend that’s happening all over the country. Suburban homeowners are beginning to want to live downtown.

In major metropolitan areas like New York, doorman- type buildings have been around for centuries.  But, architect Jeff Harbinson says, “there was nothing like this in the South.”   Developer Kerry Avant says, “We wanted to create a building that looks very old world… like it has been in Winston Salem forever.  And at the same time we wanted to offer something brand new with high-end amenities.

Old World with a Southern Twist:  a covered porch or roof top terrace for each homeowner

Jeff Harbinson says, “We came up with the idea that every residence would have its own covered porch or roof top terrace.  And when we presented it, everyone just sort of drew in their breath.  The Penthouse terraces are absolutely huge.  Basically, they’re as large as a typical backyard.”

Kerry Avant adds, “Certainly the outdoor areas are a big part of our plans.  We’ve tried to create porches that are an integral part of the over all spaciousness.  Someone can move downtown and have fresh air, openness and the perfect place to entertain.”

Style and comfort in the heart of downtown

The development team for One Park Vista set out to create a building that would make you feel at home, at the center of downtown Winston-Salem.   Jeff Harbinson says, “This is one of the most prominent downtown addresses to ever become available.”  With 10’ ceilings, hardwood floors, porches, fireplaces, underground parking, beautiful landscaping and an incredible location right on 4th street, One Park Vista will truly be a remarkable place to live.
